It would be nice to be able to slide open the sunroof 10-12" without first opening the sunshade all the way.

You can do this by tilting the sunroof open using the interior button but not in slide mode... The exception is when you use the comfort access.

When pressing and holding the key fob or door handle you can open the sunshade and the sunroof simultaneously. See picture below.

So, who thinks they are expert coders?

Hi Gator,

For my pano, I can slide open the roof without having to retract the shade all the way. To do this I pull back on the sunroof switch twice, sequentially. The shade and the roof will open simultaneously, to stop it after a few inches just pull the switch forward. . .

It works! Thanks for the great tip. It is probably in the manual, but I haven't read that in a while....

The reverse works for closing both the sunroof and the shade, double-push the control to the Close position.
