Question Retrofit Heated Seats?

The delivery of my new X3 is on Thursday, so of course I'm getting excited...

My SA gives me a call last Friday because he noticed that the vehicle is missing the heated seats and heated steering wheel.

He will be looking at retrofitting the missing components but I was wondering if any of you guys know if this is possible?

I suppose they could replace the components, add the wiring and the fuses?

I'm still hoping for the best.

This is a Canadian spec vehicle being delivered in Canada the heated options are standard...

Canada? Heated Seats are standard. If they use OEM components (or change out the seats completely) I think that might be ok, but I'd be inclined to refuse delivery completely, especially if they use aftermarket components.

I'm not sure how they can screw up an order like that... I would have expected a standard "profile" or build on Canadian orders

It's now been over a week that BMW Canada has known of the issue and still has not let me know if they can or can't retrofit the seats.

I just want them to come back with a response so we can move on to the next step.

For others in this forum that have had problems with their delivery or vehicle, who did you have to push to get a proper response?

I fitted a heated steering wheel and front and back heated seats to my old X5.It should be possible either replace the whole seats or add the heating elements to the original seats. The wiring i would guess is already there in place.Check here http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...61&hg=52&fg=65. Also a new control unit http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...41&hg=64&fg=20
