Will 20" & 21" Replica Wheels fit on X3?

Have been looking around for bigger wheels for my X3 35i M Sport for a while. Do you guys think wheels in the below link will fit our X3 or not?

There's really no way to tell "for sure" without mounting a set of wheels and tires, but considering the clearance of the OEM staggered set up (245/40F on 19X8.5 wheels and 275/40R on 19X9.5 wheels), it's unlikely the X6M wheels and appropriate tires will clear the fender wells without rolling them or cutting and adding flares.

Tire Rack lists a maximum wheel width for the X3(F25) chassis of 9 inches for a 20 inch wheel (with an ET of 42mm) and they recommend not using more than a 8.5 inch wheel width (with an ET of 35mm).
With 20 inch wheels the tire size that will give the correct rolling diameter for a X3 is 245/40R20. A set of Pirelli PZeros (RFT) in that size retail for $1872. For that size tire the correct wheel width is about 8.5 inches.

With those offsets on 8.5 or 9 inch wheels, the inner edge of the tire is as close as possible to the suspension parts. No more offset (ET) an be used to bring the inner edge in any farther.

The wheels you linked to have widths of 10 and 11 inches. For that width you'd have to go to 275/35R20 tires at the front and something like 305/30R20's at the rear. With tires that wide you're almost certainly going to have the tires hitting the fenders when the suspension compresses over bumps.

However, I'd love to see a X3 with add-on Porsche "Turbo" fender flares.
Let's see:
$ 1200 wheels
$ 1872 tires
$ 3000 estimated for custom rolled add-on flares
$ 4000 estimated body work - welding, filling, sanding, polishing
$ 3200 estimated repaint of (4) fenders

$ 13272 total

Since it's your money, I'd say: DO IT. Please don't forget to post photos on the Forum. We'd love to see a flared X3 running "dubs".

I would contact **********s directly. they are very helpful on the e90post forums.

They may be able to give you advice. If it works, there is obviously potential business for future F25 owners.

AC Schnitzer makes forged wheels up to 22 inches that will fit the X3(F25). They keep the offset at ET=30mm, and they keep the width down to 9 or 9.5 inches. Those wheels use 275/25R22 tires (Michelin Sport Pilot @ $456 each).

see:

Here's the Schnitzer demo X3(F25) with 22's.

Nice find!! It looks like 22 x 9.5 ET 35 with 275/25 will fit all around as well. So in theory, TSW's recommendation of 20 x 10.0 ET35 with 265/35 should work just fine.
