ipod in a 2006 X3 for x-mas
Hey,
I spend all my time over on e90post but i figured this is the right place to ask about the X3. my mom has a 2006 x3 and has been talking about getting and ipod in the car. So for x-mas i bought her an ipod and want to know the best way to get audio, what have you guys been doing for it? any and all help is greatly appreciated thanks in advance and happy holidays! |

Don't see any helpful suggestions here - so if not too late .....
If her X3 does not have Nav. I recommend the least cost and easiest approach. Buy the BMW Aux Input cable for less than $40 (not the iPod adaptor), and install it in the handy upper dash storage tray. Easy cable routing from back of the radio, and just an easy connect if a CD changer is not part of the equation. The only downside is volume only can be controlled from the steering wheel or radio, selections have to be made on the iPod - but that is where having it up high comes in - minimal need to divert attention from the road ahead. |
