Flat spots on tires

I want to have my new snow tires mounted (separate wheels/tires) at the place where I bought them but I'm going away for over a week and put off having the tires mounted until I get back. But I also have some time to have them mounted on Monday before the trip. But the X3 will sit in my cold garage on a cold concrete floor in one spot. So I'm wondering if that's not a good idea because of a flat spot that could develolp. I've read that the spot will disappear with driving but wonder about that. Any ideas about this? I think only because these are new tires and I have a lot of driving to do when I get back I'm concerned. I've had older tires sit for a while with no noticeable spots but didn't have any choices for those times. would you wait or just have them installed before the trip? Am I overthinking this?

I don't think you will have any problems leaving the car for that period of time. I would just ensure tire pressures are good and not give it a second thought.

My Z4 sits on the cold garage floor for 5 months every year and no flats spots in the last 3 1/2 years. I've also left my X3 sitting in the garage for weeks at a time (whilst I drive the Z) and also no flat spots. It's my opinion that flat spots don't develop with run flats as they might with regular tires.

Any flat spot you might have will round out once you start driving and the tires warm up. You can also over inflate the tires to prevent flat spots and let out some air before you drive.
