Aux Input port mod?
Is there a way to add an audio input 2.5 mm socket to my 2004 X3? I have the BMW Business CD but not the aux input option.
I'd like to have one so that I can play my ipod through the speakers / stock head unit. Maybe even eventually get one of the bluetooth devices to connect my iPad wirelessly. Thanks in advance for any help! |

You may be out of luck. The early business CD did not have this upgrade option and I seem to recall 2004 being the cutoff year.

This uses the CD changer interface to connect to the head unit.

Just did a little research, and the DICE unit is stupidly easy to install. I prepped the X3 for it so all I need to do is install the unit / connect it. I think I might go ahead and order it tomorrow.
