Having said that, it would be nice if the X4 interior was more in line with the 3/4 series. I have a 2013 335i and a 2012 X3 and even though they are very alike at first glance, you can tell they used better quality materials on the 335i, especially around the door trim, our X3 is only 2 years old and we treat it pretty well, the door seals are in horrible shape and comparing them to the seals on my 335i they are just different quality. I guess they had to cheap out somewhere to get the X3 costs down.
Valid point!
But like the previous X3 (E83) who was build on the E46 platform, a car from 98'...
The E83 lasted until 2010, alot of old parts and outdated design going on in a premium solution for to long imo!
Now again, the X3 is stuck with an old interiour, and not very premium looking imo.
In this situation the X4 comes along, a car who haven't been released yet, more upscaled than the X3 with the same boring interiour!
I mean, the X3 is going to be with us until 2017.
And the X4 is going to stay until 2020!
The gap between the X3/4 and the new X5 is just to big these days!
As you said, the interiour of the 3 and 4 series makes the X3 allready in the dust.
So the X3 interiour is class below, like in a X1/X2 imo, which again is old, based on the E* from 05'.
