Hakka R2 SUVs - Correct Tire Pressure?
Hey all
Patient is a 2012 X3 28i, laying out its winter clothes. Just mounted some 225/60-17 Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 SUV RunFlats on dedicated winter wheels, and while the shop was obviously able to find the listed pressure for the stock 245/55-17s, it found nothing for the modified 225/60-17 size for the snows. I couldn't either. They are currently at 35 but I'd like to get it right. Can I hear from guys who are running the Hakkas on 17s? What is the proper pressure for winter conditions? Thanks

Filling your tires to what the door jamb says should be fine.

Thanks for the response. Answering my own question here for posterity.
This (paraphrased) guidance from Both TireRack (sold the wheels) and Tires-by-Web (sold the tires). "If you go with 225/60R17, then to maintain load I would keep the front and rear at 35 PSI with a standard load tire (or with an XL rated tires 42 PSI on the rear)." Since the 225/60R17 R2 SUV Runflat is definitely NOT an XL-rated tire, I'll go with 35 pounds at all four corners.
