2013 35i X3 - What to Pay?
So, I'm about ready to pull the trigger on a new X3. Looking at a 2013 35i M-Sport w/ the following options:
BMW ASSIST (6NL) COMFORT ACCESS KEYLESS ENTRY (322) FINELINE WAVE WOOD TRIM (4CH) FRONT/REAR PARK DISTANCE CONTROL (508) HEATED FRONT SEATS (494) ON-BOARD NAVIGATION SYSTEM (609) REAR-SEAT BACKRESTS W/40/20/40 SPLIT (465) SATELLITE RADIO W/(1) YEAR SUBSCRIPTION (655) COLD WEATHER PKG (ZCW) COLD WEATHER PKG II (ZCX) DYNAMIC HANDLING PKG (ZDH) M SPORT PKG (ZMP) PREMIUM PKG (ZPP) PREMIUM SOUND PKG (ZPS) TECHNOLOGY PKG (ZTP) MOJAVE, NEVADA LEATHER SEAT TRIM (LUBK) My local dealer is offering me $52K before TTL. Is this a good deal? What have others paid for their 2013's of similar spec? Last edited by bbeast; 05-11-2012 at 06:11 PM.. |

We paid
I think the tops is invoice plus $1000, miniumu would be invoice, realistic goal would be invoice plus $500

The "BEST" price i got here at Southern cali is 500 over invoice and on top of that, he gave me $1000 discount if participated in the Team USA event (just to do a test drive). He also gave me an additional $1000 discount being a USAA member (this is between BMw and USAA program incentive). Example: Invoice was $48445 but Base was 45150.
45150+500=45650 plus add 7.75% sales tax (3423) and DMV fees of (450). Total was $$49523 minus $2000 for Team USA event and USAA member. TOTAL overall is 47523. I think that this was the BEST DEAL! |

$52k seems about right, give or take a couple hundred.
You should ask if your local dealer has any type of "conquest promotion." Shortly after purchasing my X3 my folks went and got a Mercedes, MB had what they called a conquest promotion where if you own a car from one of their competing brands they give you an extra $1000 off. There were about 5-10 brands on there and even included Acura which I was surprised. Last edited by Beyu; 05-11-2012 at 07:41 PM.. Reason: Meant to say Acura instead of Toyota |

Actually it would be invoice + 500 + tax and fees. Always negotiate from invoice. Hope this helps and enjoy. It's a fun car.

You listed a lot of stuff that's included in the packages...it's like listing twice So it's basically really just: COLD WEATHER PKG (ZCW) COLD WEATHER PKG II (ZCX) DYNAMIC HANDLING PKG (ZDH) M SPORT PKG (ZMP) PREMIUM PKG (ZPP) PREMIUM SOUND PKG (ZPS) TECHNOLOGY PKG (ZTP) I'm assuming: 1. The color is alpine white since I don't see the uptick in cost for metallic paint. 2. The 52k price is without any additional promotions/discounts. I would say the price is good since it's below invoice if the assumptions above are true. I think with current promotions it could be definitely lower but then maybe in your region it's not possible to get that. I would say if you're happy with the price then that's the main thing. A few more hours fight for a few more hundred off may not be worth it. Good luck

1. Color is space grey. So There should have been metallic paint on the list, not sure why it wasn't there. 2. The dealer quote was after all discounts. Unfortunately, I'm coming from a Toyota, so doubt there is any any additional promotion there! |

am I missing something?
Invoice is $54,915 and they are offering it to you for $52,000...$2,915 BELOW invoice and you want a better deal? My question to you is what are you waiting for?

Yeah, offer seemed to good to be true to me as well, hence the post. I thought maybe I had the invoice value wrong. Gonna speak with them again soon and will let you guys know if it's the real thing.

Well if the 52k includes metallic paint as well which is like $500-$550 then that price sounds really good since it's easily below invoice. I would be on alert if a dealer offered that on their own...get it in writing
