I had the lastest version on my C7 A6, its a nice interface, but its no better or worst than the lastest i-drive. I did find the BMW's i-drive function buttons easier to navigate and the i-drive knob turing clock wise to scroll down on the menu items makes more sense than the MMI which is backwards. BMW's sub menu on the left is also easier to use than Audi's 4 corner buttons.

I thought I would put a final chapter in on this saga..
So we did end-up picking-up an 013 X5 35i Premium instead of the X3 28i for her...The 5'er was a better size etc, etc.. And it finished out our garage and overall needs better than two X3's... Awesome vehicle equipped well with technology, Premium, Cold Weather, Convenience etc..Loved my E70 X5d when I had it! After deliver my poor wife was absolutely overwhelmed by all there is to learn on this vehicle... She's been driving RX's for over 12 years - so a big, big switch for her...Told her not to get frustrated and learn the basics first.. Anyways, by this evening she was crowing about how wonderful it was and was no longer "afraid"... I reminded her how I've been telling her for years to come over to the dark-side from Lexus and the X5 was 2x the car the RX is. She said no, it's 10x the vehicle the RX is....

Congrats again, did the dealer inform you that the redesign X5, F15, is due out this Aug? I test drove the E70 myself before buying my F10. I thought the E70 felt outdated and the steering was way too stiff at low speed. The new X5 is suppose to be much more technologically advance than the current X5. I hope the dealer gave you a very good dealer on the E70 at least.
