I sold my Lexus GX470 Soccer Mom car and got the X3 3.5. You will absolutely love it! It is fast, smooth, gorgeous and an all around blast to drive! You will make all of the other soccer moms jealous!

Hate to break it to you, the last 3 women I spoke to, who all bought X3's, told me they did so because they thought it was a women's BMW. Meanwhile, we love our X35 and wouldn't have any other car (including an X5 or X6). Maybe it's a BMW for hot women.

Being a female buying the X3, I concur with your last sentence

Thanks for all the commentary on this. Yes, there definitely is a stigma of a smaller SUV being targeted for women... but I cannot deny that it is a great car and a lot of technology and firepower in the package. Ironically, i hear that the current x3 is about the same size as the original x5 when that first came out - everything has gotten bigger.

either way, i will continue to do some more research on other cars and see what i end up with. cts-v wagon seems interesting, so does the audi q5... we'll see.
