Friend of mine has an X3 I'd like to help him diagnose if he can get it to my place. From what he tells me his nephew used to own it and the battery would die often on him. He purchased the X3 from his nephew and put a new battery in it and drove it around for a few months but eventually he started having problems. He says it won't idle and if he drives it somewhere and it dies on him the battery will be drained too much to start the vehicle. I'm not sure if this is possibly 2 separate issue or if they could be related, was hoping someone else has had a similar issue that could point me in the right directing. Also he says that the battery light or warning doesn't come on while driving.
