Dimensions of the hood

What are the hood dimensions of the 2013 X3 from each widest point?

I'm planning of applying 3M Paint Protection Film on the whole hood.
I need the widest measurements on each side so I can ordered a large enough piece.
Thanks

I'd help you with that if I didn't have to drag a measuring tape across my hood.

Hmm. You're right.

How about a piece of string across the hood mark it then measure with tape measure

Given the multiple curves in the hood, which will need to be accounted for, do you really trust anyone other than yourself to do the measurement? I can hold a measuring tape from edge to edge, but if you use that number you'll be short.

I get approximately 62". The specs say the car is 74" so that would leave about six inches from the edge of hood to the outside of the fender (either side) give or take.

Cool, How about from the front (badge) to the back (windshield). Looks shorter than 60 inches, maybe 50 inches?

I will of course go over a few inches in the PP film I order which will be trimmed underneath the hood.

Thanks for your help

Once I get a close number, I'll order a few inches over. Then it will tuck in under the hood lip then scored and trim.
