Sat Nav- Auto Increase Volume
Hi all,
I can't find anywhere to auto increase the volume of the Sat Nav in relation to how loud the Media is playing. If I belting out an MP3 at Volume Setting 11 (Spinal Tap reference) the Sat Nav should increase to match. Warning tones seem to auto increase in Volume i.e. reverse sensors & speed warning chime (mines set to 88Mph ). The only way I can find to change the volume of the Sat Nav is by turning the volume knob while the Sat Nav is giving an announcement (not tried the steering wheel volume control). I can't be doing that everytime I want to enjoy the music. Anyone have an answer? Last edited by philtrick123; 11-27-2012 at 12:38 PM.. |

You can use the steering wheel control but it's independent of the volume on the stereo. I keep it muted most of the time and use the directions in the dash mainly

Same here - no need for most locations.

That is the only way to adjust it. I thought it was relative in that it set the Nav announcement to be a certain amount higher/lower than the audio input. It seems to be a "sticky" setting so you shouldn't have to adjust it every time.

It seems on my X3 the volume of the SatNav stays put regardless of the volume on the media player. The warning type noises increase in volume, but SatNav no.
