Hood Open Light

My hood open light is going off even though the hood is closed. It was recently open when I was adding some windshield fluid. Any ideas how to remedy this?

make sure its completely closed, check both side of the hood.

maybe cap is preventing from closing properly

I had a problem with a failed sensor, which showed the same symptoms. The hood showed as open, even though it was fully latched. THe sensor, and perhaps the latch on that side, was replaced.
