35i Battery Ah

Wondering if anyone may know what the 'Ah' of the factory battery is? I found some places saying 90 or 95 but I haven't confirmed those numbers. Not sure if it says on the top of the battery itself, something I'll check later.

battery

Input the last 7 digits of your car's VIN number here https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select and search for battery, it should list the specs.

If you can get to the battery, you should see the AH rating on one of the labels. BMW usually uses up to several battery class sizes depending on engine & options.

Just an FYI...the 90AH/92AH/95AH batteries are all 49/H8 battery class size. The AH rating may vary depending on brand name slapped on the battery.

The larger 105AH BMW battery is a 95R/H9 battery class size...and sometimes the aftermarket H9 battery may only have 100AH.

Thanks guys! I also happened to walk through our parts department today and look at the batteries and realized my answer lies right on top, just as you've posted. Sorry for the wasteful post but thanks for the answers!

Ultimately I want to see if I would be able to use a different brand battery. A lightweight version battery, like Optima, Braille, or Liteblox.

Make sure you code it for the new battery otherwise the charging cycle from the battery management system will be off and short cycle the new battery life.
