Mirror folding difference between driver and passenger side?

I got a 2022 X3 and I just noticed that the passenger side mirror folds about 1 inch closer to the body than the driver side mirror. Is this supposed to be like this?

Mine fold evenly, have you tried asking in the forum for your generation X3, this forum is for the previous generation (2011-2017) as shown in the tile

My mirrors are even. Both fold pretty tight to the body.

Mine is the same. One side folds tighter than the other. It's not easily noticeable though.

No. Bring it back to the dealership. It's not seated properly.

On my x3, it's the same space on both left and right side mirrors.

Both fold at a different speed. Hardly noticeable.

Took me couple years to notice (2017 x3).

Same here, and occasionally my driver's side mirror will make a clunk noise as it's folding.
