Question X3 (F25) Service/Repair Manual

Hi All

Does anyone know where I could find the service/repair manual for the 2011-present X3 (F25) to download or purchase?

I tried a search on here but most threads are for the 1st gen i.e. prior to 2011. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places but I'm sure someone on here knows Thanks!

Not a service manual but a good source for parts which may help: http://realoem.com/bmw/select.do

Eventually (hopefully) Bentley will come out with something - that's probably the best bet. BMW hasn't made service manuals available to the general public for a very long time now.

Yeah I agree that site is always good for actual part info. I use it to find parts for my mini.

Unfortunately it doesn't give a step by step breakdown on how to repair/replace items

I wish someone would. I find the service/repair manuals extremely useful since with other brand vehicles that I own I am usually able to diagnosis problems and know what's wrong long before dealerships do. It helps me lead them to the problem quicker

Plus minor mods are easy when I can see internal wiring diagrams and various systems.

Hopefully if anyone finds a CD/DVD or book available in the future they will let the forum know. It's a definite buy item before any mod.

Guys, I'm pretty sure I've found the holy grail of workshop manuals! The first thing I always do when I buy a new car is track down the best workshop manual I can get my hands on. For my last Volkswagen I had the AMAZING Bentley manual, so I was disappointed when i couldn't find much of anything for my F25 X3 (first BMW too). However, I have found a source for the LEGIT Rheingold BMW/MINI/ROLLS-ROYCE workshop SYSTEM. Cost me $106 USD (including shipping from Europe), comes on 3 DVDs. I have barely scratched the surface, but this is the real deal. Not only is it the workshop manual library, but so so much more. When you order, you choose your vehicle model, but as far as i can tell, this software suites covers all? BMW, Rolls-Royce, and Mini models in one shot! Man I'm excited. Also, as far as I can tell without testing yet, this suite does EVERYTHING... like as in connect your car using your cable and do diagnosis, vehicle management, etc etc. I'll update when I have a chance to play around more, but man this is awesome. The website is pretty archaic looking and so are the emails you get from the company. I was a little worried it might be a fraudulent site, but nope, all came in the mail a few weeks later. ENJOY!

Have you received the maintenance manual from 'www.manualsoft.com'? If so, was it what you expected?

No! In the UK, we can purchase repair manuals for cars. They are compiled by a company called Haynes. They are quite common in some places. See...

https://haynes.co.uk/catalog/car-man...repair-manuals

Here is the product for....

-Series Hatchback (E81 & E87) and Coupe (E82) with 4-cylinder engines. 116i, 118i & 120i petrol and 116d, 118d & 120d diesel. Petrol: 1.6 litre (1596cc/1598cc) & 2.0 litre (1995cc). Turbo-diesel: 2.0 litre (1995cc)

See...

https://haynes.co.uk/catalog/manuals...l-04-aug-11-54

Nothing for the X series so far.

The Bentley service manuals are almost completely based on the ISTAD Rheingold which is the most complete service/diagnostic system for BMWs.

Thanks! I was looking for instructions on replacing the coolant expansion tank, as it seems to have developed a leak in my wife's X3, and this seems like a really easy repair!
