my production begins week 20 as per conversation with 800# agent (may 12-18)

dealership told me x3 will be deliver by week 21 (may 19-25)

i dont think its possible

its been a its almost 2 weeks without a car, no progress of new build.


the SA that i been dealing with doesnt give me straight answers.

So it took 7 days just to make the X3 I ordered. It then took 49 days to get to California. You should have a considerably reduced wait time.

I live in Michigan and my X3 was done with production (40 hours) and was loaded on the carrier June 30. It arrived the next afternoon at the dealer (July 1st)!

He is referring to a 2015 F25 M-Sport, not pre-LCI...once production is in full swing, they take about 3 weeks or so.

I don't think they know what's going on and you're right...week of May 19th sounds impossible. BTW, how do you not have a car? What happened to your X3?

Kozzi i did a trade so they took it and its up for sale already.

Ask for a loaner because of the delay. My dealer gave me one when I sold my car outright and was waiting on my X3 to arrive.

Kozzi- I know that. I thought he was asking *If* his X3 goes into production and gets finished is it possible to have it in his hands the following week. I was just relaying that it is possible depending where you are located in the U.S

it was part of the deal, since the SA told me it would be here by mid May if i was to place the order in end of April (April 26)

i didnt think it would take this long since my previous X3 was also an order and that didnt take long time. I waited 2 weeks.

Ours took 3-4 days for production. Was quoted a May 5th build start date, and was updated today (May 8th) that build is complete, and vehicle has left the Spartanburg facility already...!

I just ordered tonight. I'll have more details tomorrow but have been told my new M Sport could be delivered to me in as few as 3-4 weeks. Seems the dealer was anxious to use a slot they had to get this thing to me as soon as possible. They have not done many/any 2015 M Sports yet and they felt having one driving off their lot would be good publicity for them.

Would have been 6-8 weeks otherwise. I'll know more tomorrow when the order actually gets entered into the system and I have a number to track.

sometimes they give u longer time frame to be on safe side, u probably might get it end of may or first week of june. I spoke to bmw genius yesterday and there's no delays for 2015 production x3.

Yes there was absolutely no mention of any production delays at all (even the M Sport). Of course dealers may not always know but this dealer seems to do a ton of volume. They had at least a dozen brand new 2015's sitting on their lot so it appears they are starting to gush from South Carolina pretty steadily now.

I see what you are saying. So production time plus however longs it takes to ship to dealer. Obviously if you are close to Spartanburg, your delivery should be faster.
