Are interior bulbs covered?

Under warranty? Went to turn on my front passanger overhead reading light and it came on and instantly burnt out. It's the only light out in the car so I don't think it is a bad fuse. Are these covered under warranty? X only has 840 miles on it.

I tried to think of something else to say, but that seemed to cover it.

Odd. Does the switch seem to be working properly?

Yes, switch seems fine. I turned it off and on a bunch of times messing with it today with no problem and then left it on to see if it flickered at all while I was driving (thinking that the bulb might be loose). Stayed on the entire time without flickering.

Possible that the bulb was poorly seated and now has settled in. Likely causes in order of approximate probability: Poorly seated bulb, intermittent switch, loose push-on connector, phase of the moon, poltergeist, hallucinations. Take your pick!

Could be a flakey filament too. I have seen those before. If it craps out again, that would be my bet.

Speaking of lights coming on and off. I hardly see X3's around here, but today I saw two. One was turning left inside the parking lot and I noticed only one fog light was on. Then both were off. Does the fog light on the inside of the turn, when turning, turn on to help illuminate the road, then turn off?

Yes, the fog light on the side you are turning towards will light up when making the turn. It goes back off once the turn is completed.

Only if you have the "Adaptive Light Control" option (included in the Convenience Package). That option also includes brighter 55 w. fog/turning lamps instead of the base level 35 w. lamps.

No ALC, no auto-on fog lamps when turning.

Would this be Code 524 which is included in the "ZXG-Visibility package" here in the UK?

Also turns on when you initiate a "hard" turn signal for a bit, then comes back on when you actually turn. Does it activate on the 3-bob lane change signal?
