Took the High Pressure fuel pump off today to have a look and at the cam follower.

On inspection, I’d say that at 144,000 Km it’s time this cam follower was replaced… the bearings are worn, rattles noticeably when shook - so much that it has to go…I even considered grounding the vehicle.

Soaked it in some Lucus oil - which will help for now…

So although N20s sound like diesel on start-up - it was worth the few mins to check…. My guess are many are like this. It a 50 buck part OEM.

I’m interested to listen to this thing when I replace it..

Please take a video before and after. The injectors are so loud on the n20 I always think something is wrong
