I think it's a limitation of the existing iPhone bluetooth capability so it's really down to Apple. Perhaps the iPhone 5 will offer enhanced integration but I haven't seen it mentioned in any of the rumours. ksoze may know...

I'm fairly certain Office is only for BB devices, at least for now.

Bluetooth audio works fine with iPhones but you only get track forwards and backwards buttons on the iDrive. All other control has to be done by the iPhone
