Replacing headlight bulb for '14 X3

I'm looking to replace the headlights for my 2014 x3 - they seem to be pretty dim and short ranged. I've been looking at different options and for halogens, it looks like the osram or the philips H7s are the best ones for brightness.

I am also interested in LED options, however, I've seen some conflicting information about whether or not those would go well in a halogen housing. For those that have had experience with replacing your bulbs, what is the recommendation?

Thanks!

I've seen people with LEDs in Halogen housings and they produced a lot of blinding glare to oncoming traffic. Super bright right in front of the vehicle, but the throw is way worse then a stock Halogen bulb.

I recommend these H7 bulbs, they will be brighter than any other Halogen bulb you try (replace all 4 and get a spare).

The ones from Dan are the best because of the H9 burners.
Original H9 bulbs work well in projector-type low beams but is not safe in most reflector-type low beams. However, what you're getting here is a H7 bulb with stronger burner, giving you more power for more lumens. The bulbs might not last as long as regular H7 bulbs though.
E-mail him and you'll get a slew of information on proper lighting.

Second best are the Osrams or Philips.

I found this a few months ago while reading about X3 headlights, here at xBimmers. I am planning to try Sylvania Silverstar Ultra although some of the reviewers noticed that they don't last very long.
