I think it is safe to say that the interior will be VERY similar to that of the X3. Like the X5 and the X6 are.

That's great to hear. I know the design exercise of the headlights most likely won't make it and will be replace with the flat u shape led headlight. But damn those headlights look awesome like they did in the concept 4.

Yeap, I can definitely see myself in this.

Just curious and guessing what those 10% are, door handles, headlights, some front and rear bumper changes and the mirrors. I'm ok with that.

I'm guessing the interior will most likely be similar to the X3 with the new idrive?

Us Americans have absolutely no right to bitch about this car. It is bringing many more jobs to our country. BMW is expanding their Spartanburg plant so they can build this in addition to building more X3's, X5's, and X6's. Jobs > not having a weird car in the lineup.

Nice look but totally pointless model. Bring us wagon version of the 5 serie instead of that. BMW instead of investing on the quantity of different models you offer why not invest on the quality of every one single one?

I've never been a fan of the x6, but this I could get used too...

I hope those headlights (or similar ones) end up on the x3!

This is looking pretty good. I could definitely see myself in this in a few years.

I am hoping they may have a M or M performance version by then.

Most pics make it look disproportional but in the video the car looks good. One of the pictures shows concept drawing - looks much more streamline and right proportions. Too bad they decided to make it too x6 like. But like I said it is still more decent looking unlike 1er.

I now know what happened to Pontiac

Did BMW steal the 1995 design roadmap from GM? Is this where all those Pontiac engineers have gone? Just need to slap a Grand Am logo over where the gills, X-drive logo, unnecessary chrome, etc will likely show up on this car.

Instead of expending 2 million engineering man hours on making headlights rectangular, maybe we could try and remove some mass? Just an idea.

I personally love the X6 so this thing is seriously quite a beauty! just hope the actual production car will look similar to this (the 4-series coupe strays too far from the nice concept IMO)

Somebody please tell me why how an SUV is better than a wagon? Basically same size interior, same number of occupants. It's just heavier, with the center of gravity up higher, meaning it doesn't handle as well and gets worse gas mileage. Please give me an x-drive 5 series wagon and it would be my everyday drive including winter. These fastback suv's, x4, x6, are ridiculous. It's got roof rails, but with the sloped roof, how useful is that gonna be?

Sporty? It's an SUV! For what it does, it's top heavy and overall, heavier than it needs to be. So you want something to look sporty even though it isn't? I just don't get this whole SUV thing. Get a wagon, tint the windows, lower it a bit, put some nice wheels on it, and it will look "sporty". A 3 series wagon can be made to BE a lot more sporty, (not just look sporty) and just as utilitarian, as an x3 or x4. There's your "Sport" "Utility" vehicle. These things are just pointless.
Sorry, I'm just bitter we can't get a 5 series touring here.

Exclamation WTF with side line

In general it is nice, front and back looks incredible beautifully, headlights together with rear should go without changes to the road car. Kill the person why did damage to the side line, two times...
Why it is broken in two places?
this is how it should look like:

This is proper sideline
