Hey all..I guess I get to monitor 2 forums now . Picked up the wife a 2012 X3 i28 which was CPO'd and has low miles. Hopefully will provide years of trouble free driving .......

Pics Or It Didn't Happen! Finally got to say that.

PS - The NA engine will be bulletproof, just watch out for the spark plugs and ignition coils.

LOL...glad I was able to oblige (pics/didn't happen).

That's what I've read is the N52 is bulletproof since no turbo. That is pretty much what sold me on this year/truck plus it was taken care of really well. The coils are the weak spot in it? Not overly crazy about the color but it beats black lol..(we have 3 black cars).

Okay..question...since it's happened twice now. Climb in...(with keyfob sitting in center console)..foot on brake...hit start button...nothing. Radio powers up etc...but it acts like the key isn't close enough. I think it said to place key next to steering wheel etc. Is this a battery in the fob going bad? I remember reading something about it but couldn't find it. Wait a few secs..try again..fires up. A bit annoying lol

thanks.

I was thinking that it was the battery as well. I found that it does occur and is a faulty fob. Yes, I have both..will try the other one and see if it is glitch free

Yes it's the battery of the fob. Should be easy enough to replace.
