Chrome Tailpipes
Yes, I've searched extensively. This issue has been discussed but no conclusive answer (of which I am aware) has been given.
I have a 2.8i which I will take delivery of on Wednesday. I've read in a couple of places that others who have taken delivery of their 2.8i have purchased the chrome tailpipes. What is the part number? My dealer claims there is none (but I suspect it is the same one that comes standard on the 3.5i). Does ANYONE know??? |

Mike185 has the right part number. Just checked my invoice when I bought my pair a few weeks ago. Will fit 2011 X3, 28i. Remember to order TWO of these part #'s. They're not sold as a pair. Each roughly $90CAD.
I don't know if the chrome tips are standard on the 35i though, but I think so. Dave |

I got mine from getbmwparts.com. I believe I paid around $45 each. took less than 5 minutes to install. Just slides over the tail pipe. You may want to use a rubber hammer. Looks great last long time. My dealer said the same thing do not have them. I don't think these are made by BMW but are after market but I like mine.
