2017 xDrive 35i Sensor Problem

Today the right front sensor decided to activate every time vehicle came to a stop. I cleaned all sensors, but the problem persists. Anyone run into this problem?

Wheel speed sensor? Speed sensors are magnetic they don’t last forever. You could have a defective sensor or tone ring

No trouble codes. No notifications. As a matter of fact, I took it for a short ride this morning to video the problem. You guessed it. Problem did not manifest. Dank Farrik!

I have an appointment for February 9 with the service department just in case.

Does anyone know how to keep the proximity sensors from beeping?

Mine took a rock to one of the sensors just like those gravel pieces that chip windshields. I bought a replacement and changed it myself. Been working perfect since then. Suggest you look for similar type of damage and if not check the codes through ISTA-D to see what it flags on your system.

Thank you E36M3. By the next morning the problem went away and hasn't returned. This is my second BMW. First one also had a weird problem or two along the way that seemed to resolve on its own.

Mine started acting up because it came unglued and fell inside the bumper. Is your sensor firmly glued or has it come loose?

Nothing seems loose. It actually did it again a couple of days ago. Both times it happened it was parked in the rain. I saw a "quick fix" for it on YouTube. The problem seems to be moisture. My wife came home and told me it again and I applied the quick fix, which seemed to work. Squirt a healthy dose of WD40 directly onto the sensors and wipe it off. That took care of the problem immediately.
