Just picked up a 23 x3 with oyster leather. Bummed that the lumbar for passenger was missing, but there was cut outs in the plastic for the lumbar and bolsters. Does anyone know if the bladders are in the seat, but just no electronics/buttons to control it?

I have 2020 now with Sensatec and have Both Lumbar and Width Adjustment on Driver and Passenger side.

Just ordered a new 2023 and had to get Black Vernasca Leather and Premium pack so i can get the Width Adjustment hopefully and only on driver side…The removal of features by BMW is unacceptable especially on $70k car - its more about cost cutting rather than part shortages at this point.

For some reason driver cognac leather doesn’t get both but oyster leather does, makes no sense.

No, the bladder is not in the seat, that’s the whole reason the button is blank. Part shortages are over since 2019 so it’s just cost cutting. Higher end models get both X5 and X6 and X3M

The M40i I'm picking up next week has the bolster adj. and lumbar. It was dealer inventory, not ordered.

The BMW configurator states that the ventilated seats removes lumbar support and adjustable side bolsters, which makes it sound like it's a standard feature otherwise, Senatec or leather. Of course BMW has been adding and removing features at random the past few years so hard to say I guess what the criteria for getting it is.

Can someone with a 23 m40i and cognac sensatec confirm they have driver lumbar and/or bolsters? We’re about to order next week and would like to know what to expect prior to ordering. Thanks!

Ironically this is a feature that BMW just won’t address with the consumer. At least during the pandemic they would put on the window sticker “delete passenger width adjustment” or “delete lumbar adjustment”

Now some seats are coming in with the cut outs but no buttons for lumbar or width adjustment. Others no cut outs and no buttons. None of it makes sense. BMW should just be honest with the public. The client advisors don’t care and say it’s part shortages or whatever is available. If that was the case ALL the seats would at least be coming in with the cut outs. But that’s not the case.

Its a great way to combat inflation. De-content and blame it on someone else.

Just picked up 2023 X3 M40i with Cognac Vernasca leather seats, non perforated. Only has lumbar driver's side, no bolster control, and passenger seat has neither lumbar nor bolster. Irks me that these options are missing.
