does passenger side mirror dim?

had a question. from these pics you can clearly see that the driver side has the dimming mirror feature and i've witnessed working several times. but i never see my passenger side mirror dim and it also does not have the dimming area like on the drivers side. should my passenger side look similar to the driver side mirror and dim? i just got this car so i'm unsure about this. this is on my 2017 x3 35i. anyone else have this feature that can comment?

Beginning with the 2017 model year, the passenger side mirror on the X3 and several other BMW models no longer dims. See link above.

thanks for the reply! my production date is 2016-12-01. this seems like a weird idea and is quite annoying to me. i was in traffic the other night and a big extended cab, jacked up truck behind me had lights on (not brights). they were xenon and quite bright though and on the passenger side it was very blinding to me. this is one of those things i just dont understand they would change on us.

I understand the reason for the change. Quite simply it is a money grab. The production cost goes down but the purchase prices continue to increase. We see you BMW.

There's a slider switch on the driver's door armrest which controls which mirror is adjusted by the mirror controls. Switch it to the other position, and you'll have a tilting mirror again.
