glossy gun metal.
they kind of look matte on the pic, its because the picture's from sms. But in real life, the look is awesome, freshly powder coated. I really like the contrast. OEMish but darker. Black wheel are nice if you keep your rubber black, most people wont, so the tire look brown. ishh... |

If you're not sure, plasti dip it. BUT IN the good way. This product got a bad rep because people don't know how to use it !
- prep as a real paint job. bondo, sand, wat sand, dewax/degrease, primer. - heat cans in hot water for 10 min - 50/50 overlap wet coat only. 15 min waiting for each coat. - 3 to 4 coat of base color - 2 coat of glossifier. absolutely no orange peel yes it will last (I'm on my 4th winter , ice, snow, gravel, calcium, salt) It can even hold temp on muffler tips. You dont like it ? take it off and re-do. about 5-6 cans for 4 wheels, got them @ 12$ each. here a job on my dd (3 coats gunmetal dip + 2 coats glossifier) : On the X3 wheels I'll try the ''Moore Motorsports James Dguy'' youtuber diy. he does magic with rust-oleum product. This is all about prep and technique . Last edited by oVeRdOsE.; 03-19-2019 at 09:00 AM.. |
