The xdrive28i 17" base wheels are a PAIN to clean off!!!
The base 17" wheels on the 28i have this annular groove that goes around the outside edge of the wheel that collects water and is very difficult to clean. I went to my usual car wash that cleans the wheel with a guy holding a long handled brush that scrubs the wheels prior to going into the car wash, which usually does an awesome job of cleaning the wheels, but these rims are a different story. I'm going to have to do them myself...thinking about investing in a drill attachment from bav auto since I heard there are no non-scrub wheel cleaners out there that actually take off all the brake dust. Any advise on cleaners or tools? I used Mothers or Meguirs wheel cleaning products for years and they've served me well, but I'm open to new suggestions too.
Otherwise, the car rocks!

A brush and a pair of nappy synthetic gloves. Pass on the wheel cleaners, they don't help much with brake dust and they strip any protectant that helps the dust collect a little slower. Use the soap after cleaning the main car. Gloves make it easy to clean collected dust from the back of pillars, around brake components, and in the front details and bolts. Finish with Zaino or similar once dry.
