Is the new car changeable?
If something wrong with the engine, and the car is within 1000km, can I ask the dealer change a new one for me? Or only ask them to fix the problem?

What's going on with the engine? Don't know if you have the lemon law like we do in the states, but it has to be serviced 3 times by the dealer for the same issue and if it is not fixed after the 3rd time, then you can get another vehicle.

No lemon laws in Canada. If you have a problem, get it back to the dealer ASAP. I seriously doubt any dealer will swap you cars until they have exhausted all avenues of trying to fix it. It has been done, but the case has to be very serious, and unfixable. Get back to the dealer with it, and get the problem documented and looked at.

As far as I know, I have never heard any dealer taking back a car, they will probably try replacing all the parts before
I saw scary things on TV about lemons and customer couldn't do anything. One of them got sued by the company (can't remember which company) because he repainted his car as a big yellow lemon and put text on the side like "This car is a lemon". This is "defamatory" even if it is true!! |

The advice here is the same as in your first thread http://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=519236 Take it to the dealer and get it fixed. If they can't fix it, then worry about buybacks and your other methods of recourse, but at least let them try to fix it first. |
