Thanks for the pics! Did you DIY? Now it's time to figure out how to get the original grills off....

I did...without any instructions, so it was a little trial and error. I have done grills on other BMW models, and this one was similar. I plan on putting up a DIY step by step, but until then, you really only need a T30 torx wrench/socket, and flat head screwdriver or some sort of device to push in the tabs on the inside of the grill. Oh, and a sidekick to help keep tension as you pop out each tab doesn't hurt...

You have to remove the rubber gasket just above the headlight and grill housing, remove the 6 torx bolts, and then use some slight pressure to pull forward on the bumper bodywork so you can slip your hands behind the grills and access the tabs (3 on top, 3 on bottom, one on each side). Have someone pull forward on the grills as you pop each tab, to keep tension so they don't snap back into place. For the tabs on the underside...once you get the top and side tabs removed, it was easiest for me to use my hand and just reach underneath and disengage the tabs.

If you have any other questions, just let me know...

Thanks TN! I will see if I can ask my friend for help... If not maybe I will just take them to Sonic motorsport and have them do it...

I admit it looks good, but normally the black grill is associated with the 4 cylinders. Don't you think that most people will take it for granted you're driving 2.0d? (btw nothing wrong with it). Just thinking.
I think I'll keep the ones I have for the time being.
