Also the 4X4 light stays on and I can't turn them off. When I make a tight turn, it sounds like I'm on rocks or gravel but it's coming from my car. I parked it as soon as I got home and I'm getting some advice before I take it in to service.

My car: 2007 X3 3.0siA M sport package and winter package.

This car really moves. It has never disappointed me as far as performance.

I would appreciate any advice from you guys that know more than me.

2nd Gen started in 2011 with production moving from Austria to South Carolina.

Ok cool. What is new about the 2011 built in US? I heard 2007 was the year BMW fixed all the bugs in the original X3.

The E83 had a refresh somewhere mid cycle, but i have little knowledge... i test drove an E83 4 years ago, but settled on the E91 (328xi wagon) for that purchase. I'm sure some folks on the E83 board can provide more insight, and maybe even a few here - we def have some who traded their E83's for F25's.

The F25 redesign for 2011 is a completely new vehicle - very little is unchanged.... engines, transmissions, body, options, size, tires+wheels, the country and continent of final production, etc The only thing definately the same is the name... X3.

ABL while your E83 X3 is in the shop, go test drive a 2012 - perhaps you will join us on this board in due time
