Integrated Supply Module

Hello forum friends,

I recently had a multi warning failure incident. Had them before too. A lot of the warnings have been eluded to by forum members ... I.e. Drivetrain failure, chassis destabilization, 4x4 errors etc etc.

Correction: recall on Integrated Supply Module (part # pkx3ism). In canada anyways...

Apparently the old part would allow condensation to form inside the unit triggering all sorts of erroneous electronic error warnings. Recall is not general and only case by case as customers come in with complaints.

Seems to have done the trick , no issues yet even in xtreme cold conditions.

2012 28i x3 all covered under warranty.

I just got a call yesterday for this; they want the car in as soon as possible. I'm booked the first weekend in Feb. I'll try to remember to post the work order details once the work is completed.

2015 X3 28i, Production date was end of August '14, delivery 1st week of October.

I am booked for an appointment tomorrow for the fix. After 2 failures to start my truck(started no problem in the morning at -25C, when I drive around for 10 mins and stop truck wouldn't start), I am really hoping this would fix the problem.

Just got this done this morning... took them like 20 minutes. Never had any issues with mine before but they called me to come in.

Got it done a couple of weeks ago when my 14 X3 was in annual service. The advisor said it was only for Canadian models. But I had never encountered any issue caused by the ISM.

I had mine replaced last week. When I asked why, since I don't think I have had any issues, my SA said that in some circumstances, the motor could stop and would not start again...
He wasn't entirely sure if this could happen while driving or at a stop.
