seat belt option
Hi Guys,
still trying to find out all the little extras my X3 motor has.....how do I know if i have the seatbelt warning option fitted (its an added option according to the manual). When I switch on the engine and the dash warning lights initially come on I can see the seatbelt warning light, then it goes out. I can also see a cable going to the base of each of the front seatbelts. Problem is there is no warning light or noise if I dont fit my seatbelt when I am driving. If the option is fitted and say the fuse had blown, wouldn't the light come on to tell me there is a fault. Any ideas? Where is the fusebox anyway so i could maybe check the fuse, and also which fuse would it be? Phil |

Fusebox is in the glove compartment. There is knob in each corner of the "roof" that needs to be twisted. This will allow the fuse box to open and "drop down".

Count your blessings that the seat belt light doesn't come on. My X3 will start alarming if I put my Ipad and a 3 ring binder on the front seat. If I want to have anything setting in the front seat I have to latch the seatbelt to keep it from alarming.

Hi, if you see nothing wrong with your fuses, then your driver's seat belt (SBR_FAHRER) and passenger's seat belt (SBR_BEIFAHRER) warning timers are probably coded off (nicht_aktiv). Easy fix if you have a coding cable or know some one who does.
I purposely only have SBR_BEIFAHRER coded nicht_aktiv, due to a bug in the passenger's seat. Last edited by ngcreese; 09-27-2013 at 04:52 AM.. |
