4.25 psi or higher boost BMS Stage 1
Has anyone on here increased the boost of the BMS Stage 1 in the x3 n55? Any problems that this might have caused? Currently I am running on 3.5 psi over stock + e30 mix and the sav drives well, but won't mind a little more torque running 4.25 psi (or more ) boost on e35 mix. I will only use 93 octane in the winter.

Curious of this as well as I am hovering over the buy it now button for the BMS Stage 1. I also only have a 28i so not sure if it's worth even getting but I wouldn't mind the extra bit of Horsepower.

Isn't anybody modifying their cars in this forum? I figured there would be at least ten people commenting by now its old platform after all.

Why would an ECU flash be stronger then a piggyback? It all comes down to how much the boost is raised one way or another, no? The n54 I know for a fact has similar power gains by Cobb and JB4 on certain maps.

Quick update on the tread, I saw that there has been some interest. After a thorough search trough the forums and contacting BMS directly, I have came to the conclusion that I shot myself in the leg. The new version of the BMS Stage 1 is not adjustable for higher boost even with the extra cable and it is unsafe doing so on the Stage 1 anyway. If you want more boost than the 12.5 psi with Stage 1 only option is going to JB4. They are compatible with the x3, only some function won't work that is why JB4 is not advertised for the x3. I really waned to mix e85 with 93 for extra power, but that is only effective with JB4. Doing it on Stage 1 does not deliver any additional power over 93 gas and the gas mileage gets really poor.
