this is without negotiating at all, just edmund emails out to get quote.

i plan on going to the dealer saturday to try bring the payment under 700. what can i do to bring it down without putting any money down.

If you have any extra cash available you can put down up to 7 MSD's to lower the money factor to save a few bucks a month, plus you get the Deposit back at lease return.

I haven't looked into current lease rates for the X4 lately, but back in Feb this year a good deal for $55K, $0 Down, 0 MSD, 12K/36mo was around $670 before taxes.

For negotiating, I got multiple lease quotes on edmunds from different dealers in my area (disregarding color, exact options- just similar total MSRP) and used the lowest one to deal for a car I found in the dealer inventory. You can also try negotiating via email with multiple dealers at once, but I personally found that BMW dealers don't take you seriously enough over the computer to try to earn your business.

Other than that and the usual car negotiating tactics, I don't think there are too many factors in your favor for the X4. It definitely isn't a volume seller so you probably are not going to get a ridiculous deal.

I personally ended up purchasing a CPO Elite X4- 1 year old, 9K Miles, for $15K below original MSRP, $60K. With a down payment of $10K I'm paying very similar to a lease for a 5 yr loan, except I am building equity on the car.

LASTLY. If you are in any way intending to get some "fun" out of this car I recommend you get the 35i or m40i. I've had my X4 for about 6 months and the only thing I would've done differently on the purchase is to wait for the 35i (If it ever came out to the used car market)

on my $69,195 MSRP 2017 X4 M40i i pay $779 a month.

I got the BMW maintenance which was $840
wheel and tire protection $1995
all included in that payment

i only put down $1721 including all taxes, fees, etc.
10k/36mo

i had loyalty, lease credit, bmw fleet (BofA employee - check with your employer), and $1000 option credit on X4 for september.
