Carbon Fiber gear selector trim

Ordered the carbon fiber gear selector trim from Stealth Auto. It's carbon fiber 2x2 pattern with clear coat with the same pattern direction as other BMW carbon fiber products (top right to bottom left). This one is $110 vs the BMW M Performance one that ranges from $160-200. The M performance one is a dry carbon that kind of looks like the carbon leather from the E90 M3. The M Performance one comes with a new middle plastic piece with an ///M logo on it. The Stealth Auto one requires you to reuse the old one. I chose the Stealth Auto one because I like the gloss look and price. It actually goes well with the cf wrap.

Install is pretty easy. Use a small flat tip screwdriver to remove the center plastic piece. Don't worry about the Park button. The center plastic piece is on there with adhesive. I was able to remove it without heating it up. Once it's removed, remove the T10 screw and everything will come apart. Set the park button back in place, put the new carbon trim on. Screw the screw and little white plastic piece connected to it back in. Use rubber cement or trim adhesive to reapply the center plastic piece.

That looks very cool and I like the rest of the carbon wrap too!

Looks very nice; I also prefer the glossy carbon. Just a pity that the carbon cover of the central console is not glossy. Perhaps you can have someone clear-coat it for you?
