Euro 5 emissions.. fact or fiction
Hi is it true that by having the new BMW diesels run on Euro 5 emission standards, fuel consumption and power decreases in the car hence you cannot get mpg/km/l as per specs?

No, all cars sold in the EU must meet the Euro 5 criteria, and BMW wouldn't have built new engines that would ultimately be sold in the EU that didn't meet the criteria. And if they did and as a result the engine output had to be limited, the technical spec would have to show the limited mpg and power output. Might be worth asking our Scandinavian friends as they have a reduced power output on the xDrive20d.
