BMW Portable Navigation Kit
Browsing through the BMW X3 accessory book and I come across the BMW Portable Navigation Kit.
Anyone seen or used this yet? It looks like it sits in front of the iDrive screen. Would this be for X3s without the iDrive screen? I opted to not purchase the OEM Navigation system since I rarely use my portable one, but I'm looking for some way to put mine up while keeping it clean and without using the eyesore of a suction cup on the window. Dealer said the previous X3 Portable Navigation kit hid all the wires and powered the unit. Thoughts? |

I have got a Samsung Note (on a Three unlimited data contract) for mobile internet and to use for Navigation. Got a £5 holder of ebay which fits in the vent outlet.
Works really well and power from sockets is neat and easy too.

Thanks, but if BMW has this in their catalog there has to be other information on it besides the little bit of information in the book.
If the BMW Kit won't work on the newer X3s I'll just stick with using a dash mount or something. Just wanted to see if anyone had info on this kit for our vehicles. |
