All season Goodyear LS2s

So I just read the reviews on them and they SUCK! Anybody have these on their vehicle and have an opinion on them? What tire gets put on with the 18's?

I take consumer reviews of tires with a huge grain of salt. I have had tires that were raved about that I hated, and have had tires that everyone else seemed to hate that I liked.
I will admit I would have much prefered a set of Michelins or Contis, but unfortunately we get what we get. I will maintain an optimistic approach and hope they serve me well.

I have had the Goodyear Eagle tires on another SUV, not the RFT, and loved them? I have no experience with the Goodyear RFT and nor do I have any experience with the Pirelli on my 18 inch rims. Only time will tell.

Our x3 came with 18" goodyear eagles. They seem to be ok so far. Early april build date.

If only they made continental dws run flats. I've been running them on our subaru and they are impressive.

Mine too: 18 inch goodyear eagle LS 2 i believe. So far only 100 or 150 miles and dry and wet, but no noise i can detect and ride is great on them.

Snow could be a much different issue.

Guessing they will be totally useless in snow, especially the wet kind of snow that you get where you live, also me. Winter tires are the only solution for snow. Just my 2c.

The reviews said they are useless in even small amount of snow and after 10,000 miles they even stink on wet pavement! Lots of complaints of tire "bubbles" as well.

I think that all M-Sport in Canada have Goodyear LS2 all season 19" (245/45R19) on both front and rear wheels.

I have those delivered on mine.
Drove 800 km since one week.
No complains on dry and wet pavement.

Have the Goodyear LS2 18' and have driven them in snow, slush and freezing rain with no issue. Other's may be better, dunno.

Was looking at Tirerack's reviews. I am in Western Canada. Tempted to switch or see if deal can get me something else.

Found out that the dealer screwed up and ordered me the high-performance run-flat 309s with the staggered setup. They're ContiSportContacts. The dealer is going to order a new set of all-season run flats for me free of charge (I believe they come with LS2s but now that you guys say they're bad I don't want them; could I have them mount different all-season run-flats onto the equally proportioned rims?), however I will miss the staggered setup. I best enjoy it now while I can.

I'm thinking though that I should have all seasons mounted onto the staggered setup. Would that be a bad idea in the winter? I've never owned a car with staggered tires before, so I'm curious.

I have absolutely no faith in all seasons. I ordered ours with the staggered 309's and summer tires. I've switched out on every car I've owned from summer to winter tires each year, bar one piece of crap Mercedes C-Class that came with all seasons. The plan is to buy a second set of wheels and tires (17' or 18") and to switch them in and out. With winter tires on my rwd 911 I could routinely run rings round SUV's on all seasons. It was pretty funny at times watching "invincible" SUV's struggling for grip while the 911 waltzed by...

I know that. It comes with Contis. My question is regarding whether I could put a different all season run-flat tire onto the staggered setup, and if that, would it be smart for the winter?

I dont think its a bad idea if the tires existed. I don't believe there are any all season run flats in any brand available for the staggered 309s. The problem is the rear size. If it matters, I originally had ordered the all season 309 option
but after reading this board switched to the staggered set up. Of course, now this means winter tires and I think the only choice are the Pirelli sottozero
240s. Better performance but it's definitely more hassle.

That said, if you find an all season run flat that will fit the rears please let us all know.

Ah I get it.

I am specifically not using a staggered and going for dedicated snow tire. I think all season do nothing really well.... I am going 19 8.5 all around with the blizzak LM60 think I will be good no matter what.

I think using a non staggered approach for dedicated is the way to go. The ability to rotate and find a decent set of Snow tire in the right size become easier when searching for just one size.

The also make an LM60 in RTF not right size for 19 but maybe in 18. Have not checked that.

Ideally for winter you go narrower and taller. Narrow cuts through the snow better, and taller gives you more wheel protection.
