Anyone's 2012 "in production" yet?

I've been reading the forums and have been waiting patiently (or rather impatiently) on my X3 to go through the production process. Mine went into production last Saturday, still in production. i am *hoping* to have it by next weekend.

I'm having color anxiety as well... not sure i made the right choice. i was stuck between sparkling bronze and deep sea blue... finally settled on the deep sea blue.

My biggest worry is that maybe I should have gotten the roof rails - in order for it too look right.

I think it will look great. I really like the deep sea blue and you can always get the roof rails added later if you really want them.

Changes to the 2012 35i is there is no more convenience package. Options like comfort access have been moved to the premium package (35i only).

19" 309 wheels are the new default that comes with the Sports Activity Package on the 35i. I also think the headliner will be anthracite (black).

They also mentioned the instrument cluster will now be a glossy black. Glossy black doesn't sound good to me, hope what I'm imagining is wrong. Haven't been able to find any pictures of it.

I'm hoping the frequently encountered bugs on the 2011 model were tweaked and no longer exist in 2012 production.

Actually - more accurately (got info from my dealer) my car started 10/18 at 12:52. And I now have my vin too.

And now the countdown begins.....

Website is definitely behind in updating. my production started on 10/15 and still shows 'production begins' but when i called BMW for status, the automated status says ... production complete, waiting for release to the carrier.

plus i havent received my video yet, i assume it will be sent when the status on the website changes?

update: 10/25. Saw my video this morning!

One step closer. I wonder if I'll have the car by this weekend? Prob too optimistic. So excited! Anyone know ab how long the car is at the dealer before it is 'released'?

My car has been at that status for 2 weeks now and dealer has no delivery date. Boo!

ugh. Thanks for bursting my bubble. Well.... I guess I probably needed that reality check. So the wait continues..... Waiting for a custom BMW... I guess there are worse predicaments to be in. : )

Still waiting for my ww41 production vehicle to arrive in Portland! Left Oxnard on the 23rd! ...no sign in sight. Anyone know how to track the trucking company? Dealer called them and they said "before the end of the month".

Update: apparently, my car has been sitting in a trucking company lot for over a week around Oxnard...so disappointing.

Dealer called me that my X3 is at the dealership. BMW website and 800 number say its still at port so I guess they are behind on updating.

Car is here!! If all goes smoothly, (with regis/plates/title, etc...) I'll be picking it up tomorrow morning!! YES! ...I'm refraining from going to the dealer to take a look at it. Why torture myself. Here's hoping everything goes smooth and I'll be able to pick it up tomorrow am!!!!!!

i was at the dealership today,
so i place my order for 12 x3 28i but i wasnt given any info or paper work
i was told 3-4 weeks for production and i left a deposit as well

when will i get any info from dealership?

The car is parked in my garage as we "speak". Pure perfection. Picked it up from the dealer with 1.6 miles and a full tank of gas! Couldn't be happier with the color combo. (As I picked it all from a swatch and online.)

Alpine white with the Mojave (a beautiful brown) with the dark wave trim make a beautiful combination. Very classic and elegant. It's a perfect marriage of all three options.

Hope to get some pictures up tomorrow. Ahhhh, I am one happy customer.

Picked up my Mineral Silver beauty today. Probably need a tutor to truly comprehend all the iDrive nuances. Lots there. Can't wait to put some miles on it. First non-manual transmission bimmer ever in my garage. But high hopes!!!

Update.... due to the snow storm here on the east coast over the weekend, the carrier was stuck and delayed in NJ.... And it "should" be at the dealer tomorrow.... *crosses fingers*
