How do you program a button to stop the current navigation route?

As the title above...lol how do you do it? Step by step... I plugged in a navigation destination. Then I go to the point where it says stop navigation, highlight it, then I lightly touch and hold a button, but it doesnt' seem to work.

Try it when Start Guidance is highlighted on the menu (it's the same button, i.e. I use Start Guidance to switch nav on and then back off to get round the silly bug when the arrow stays on after you reach your destination.)

Sfax is right, it definitely works. It basically toggles between start guidance and stop guidance when you program a button. Start guidance will take you to the last place you set up.

Ok the above method works to turn off the navigation route, but it doesn't seem to cancel the arrow display in the center console! Even after turning it off, the center arrow will continue to try to point to where your destination is. Anyone else experience this?

You have to switch it on if you've reached your dest, gone past and still have arrows (it's "off" at this stage) and then off again (two presses of the favourite button)

It may even be three presses thinking about it: off-on-off. Can't remember but this is silly bug I was referring to and the on-off thing is a workaround
