Rear DRL's not on?
The 2014 X3 M Sport w/lighting package I test drove had the rear LED "light bars" illuminated with the angel eye DRLs. I LOVE this look and have seen it on many later model BMWs.
Any idea how to enable this feature? I've searched and can't seem to find a definitive answer. With the headlight switch in any auto or off, only the angel eyes illuminate. Parking light setting turns them on, but also with the amber turn signals (don't want that). Help! Thanks! |

Yes there is a way to code the rear taillight bars to be on all the time. You can also disable the Amber turn signal lights for only when you indicate.

I am out of the state without my car so I cannot see an exact list of all the options but try the following. FRM SIDEMARKER_US_NFRM and change them to nicht_aktiv

SIDEMARKER_US_NFRM is for the new nbt but for the older one it is
FRM / 3060 FRM_U_EFFEKTIV, 20 / U_EFF_SM_V To turn off set to: Wert_01/werte=00 Default Value is Wert_02/werte=03 |

I've found a shop in Englewood, CO that has done some coding but didn't sound confident that the coding for this would work (yet) due to mine being a 2015. I don't know enough about this topic to really know if what they're saying is true or not. |
