Is it difficult to replace instrument cluster?
I recently purchased a 2004 X3. It's a US car but up here in Canada we prefer KMs over Miles. I'm thinking it should be pretty easy to swap the instrument panel with one from a Canadian X3.
Has anyone ever tried this? Any ideas how to get a new cluster without visiting the stealership? |

Put stickers on it, but don't the US cars have both MPH and KPH? Canadian cars only have KPH.
I am pretty sure you can't change it unless at a dealer or repair shop that has the tool to code it to the car and program in the mileage.

Yes the american one has both but I keep driving well over the speed limit because the mile stand out better...stickers would be fine if they are good quality.
