Check previous posts on this topic which contain pics of dampers with DDC. Then check your own dampers.

As Le Chef says, cannot tell from engine pictures. Look at your dampers (shock tower) and if you have the attachment to the shock as shown in the posts you have now searched, then you have DDC. If no attachment on the shock, no DCC.

Why do not know from the dealer or purchase?

The only way you can have Dynamic Damping Control is if it was specifically ordered. In the United States it is called the Dynamic Handling Package (DHP) which includes Dynamic Damping Control, Variable Sports Steering, and Performance Control. If DHP is ordered with the MSport Package the Dynamic Dampnig replaces the Sport Suspension which is deleted on all US Models by default and since Performance Control is included with MSport $100 is deducted from the cost of the DHP Package. Many have speculated that Dynamic Damping Control is included in Pakages such as the MSport Package, but it is not. The only way you would have DCC is if it was purchased as a line item.

If you look at your suspension there should be lines running in/out of the shocks.

You are correct, but adjustable dampers ARE included in the Sports Activity and M-sport packages. Dynamic Damper Control (among the many misrepresented and misinterpreted names BMW has for its systems) is actually a technology that reads the road and actively adjusts the damping according to the mode you've selected as you drive along. If you're in NORMAL, more comfort. If you're in SPORT, less so. On the 35i, Dynamic Damper Control is only available in the Dynamic Handling Package in the US. Separately, adjustable dampers reportedly do come with 35i's equipped with the different sport packages, but not with 28i's. You must get the Dynamic Handling Package on the 28i in order to get adjustable dampers at all--in addition to the active dampers.

Agree. The part #'s in US do not show adjustable shocks, just fixed rate or DDC. In ROW you get a third option of fixed rate sports shocks.
