Ordered 2013 X3 35 Today!

After lurking around here for the past few months, and learning a lot from y'all I ordered a '13 X3 35 today!

Details:
Space Metal Gray
Oyster Leather
Premium Package
Technology Package
Premium Sound
Technology Package - W/Nav
BMW Apps
Performance Center Delivery

Question: Dealer indicated that the iPhone Snap-In Adapter is dealer installed and not to expect that to be installed when I take delivery. Anyone have any thoughts on that?

Also, dealer indicated that there were giving me one of there 'unallocated' production slots and that delivery could be as soon as 4 weeks! Is this possible? Any thoughts on this?

Thanks to all of you that provided great info here in the past. And thanks in advance for any input to the above.

Expect to pay for it at the Parts Counter too. It is not included in the cost.

Yea..given that its a BMW, I was pretty much assuming I was paying for it! I just wanted to make sure I didn't mess up the order. BMW apps and all of the prewiring is noted on the order, so I'm guessing i'm OK.

Thanks

Congrats I just ordered a 2013 yesterday but my dealer had no available April spots left so mine will be early May.

I am doubting yours could be 4 weeks but you never know since it depends on the dealer I think and the spots allocated to them and when. I won't bet everything on that happening all the same. But the main thing is it's on its way

Maybe I should introduce myself as well to the forum ..lol I completely forgot that.

Harv_NC, congrats on your new X3 order. We also have the grey ext/oyster int color combo and are very pleased with it. It would have been so much simpler to have gone with black int, but the oyster adds a nice contrast to an otherwise fairly dark interior. Just my 2 cents.....

Just as a reference point, I ordered mine 1/18, it was built the week of 2/20, and I picked it up at the PC on 3/9.

You might want to consider adding the dynamic handling package. In the Sport setting, the ride can be a bit jiggly, but I like the tighter handling and steering feel. Easy enough to switch back to normal on the freeway.

Congrats on the order. I've got 470kms on the odometer and I am enjoying the vehicle more and more each day.

I think shifting between Eco-Pro/Comfort/Sport/Sport+ is now standard in the 2013.

Congrats. It takes about 2 seconds to install the snapin adapter so if you want it for your drive home from PDC you can purchase it ahead of time and take it with you.

That switch will have no impact on the dampers. You'll still need to purchase whatever optional package that has dynamic dampers for any ride adjustment.

Thanks for the tip on Snap-In Adapters...I"ll probably do that.

Still on the fence not the sports package, thanks for the input.
