Which Engines for Which Countries?

Just wondering, which countries are getting which models?

Here in Australia, we launched with only the
20D & 28i, and getting the 30D from June.
Doubt we will see the 35D here as the 30D X5 is a big market share and BMW AU will not want to loose it. M-Sport is available for AU on 20d, 28i & 30d.

Anyone else get different?

We have the 28i and the 35i here in the US. No diesel.
There is a rumor the the 28i will switch to a different engine soon, but nothing concrete.

UK is 20d and 30d only. No plans for petrol engines that I know of, and with a full tank costing about £95 ($155) and set to go up because of the tension in the middle east, most buyers want as many miles from that tank as possible

Sweden has 20d, 30d, 28i and 35i. Rumor of 35d coming soon aswell.

-1 for the massive taxes you have to pay in Scandinavia

I'll wait for the 35d otherwise I'll go with the 30d. Have you heard any info about it?

got confirmation that the 35d will not be for the Australian market

Another thing we miss, along with the paddle shifters....

Paddle shifters ar overrated. You're not missing much. Sorry you can't choose them, still.

In Panama they brought around 25 units, all 2.8i's. All came with Xenon headlights, aluminum rails as standard and some sort of mix between the convenience package and the sport package (none of the packages listed in the pdf provided in this site fully matches the options included over here). I guess that when production capacity increases they will bring other engines and options.
