I have a 6wa cluster. I bought a 6wb cluster to install in my X3 F25. Seller told me this is a cluster that fits my bmw. Size-wise 6wb looks identical to my 6wa, however plugs from my 6wa do not fit the new shape of sockets in 6wb, so I cannot connect the new cluster. Has anyone had this problem? What is the solution? Did I buy a wrong cluster in the end or is there an adapter of some sort that I need to connect 6wb cluster? Update: 6wb cluster I have is for F11.

There's some info in this thread: https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1792056

Post 5 links to the needed MOST cable, and new plug for the 6WB. Do you have MOST cable going to your current cluster? If so, you'd just need the new plug (you'll pull the connectors (MOST and standard wiring) from the current plug and move them to the new plug). If you don't have the MOST connector back there, then you'll need to get the cable, and you'll run that wire and you'll put the new MOST wire and old standard wire connectors from your cluster to the new plug.

Thanks. Yes I do MOST and 12 pins cables. It seems I just need the adapter. But how and where do I find it? Preferred somewhere in Europe so I would't have to wait for a month to receive it.

I have attached an image of my cluster part number. It comes with HUD port. And VIN of my X3 F25 is: 0K84411. Do you know if I will be able to install HUD with this cluster or is there some problem? I was reading elsewhere 6wb HUD connections are not always working with F25 HUDs?

I'm not sure where would be best to find the connector. The connector isn't only for the 6WB, my factory cluster actually already had the same plug. Looking on something like ebay and searching for "Most Fiber Optic 2 + 12 Multimedia Connector" I see two used factory ones in the US that I think would work. Maybe check ebay, or similar, in Europe?

On the HUD, I'd check this out: https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showt...t=hud+retrofit

It shows where the HUD connector would be. I'm not sure if you can add to the 6WB or not, but I'm guessing it's similar? Maybe you can use the part from your old cluster?

Smile Upgrading 6WB to Pre-LCI F25

Hello, I have a pre-LCI F25 with a small BC.

As far as i'm concerned, there's only one 12 pin socket without 2 fiber optic socket as the 6wb got. Then i checked on ebay that there's an adaptor for it but idk whether it'll work or not. My main question is if this male adaptor is installed on the 6WB that i'm going to install, where does it connect since my car has only 12 pins?

Please advise, bcs i saw some people done this retrofit on pre-LCI F25.
